Tomorrow, 2020-11-12 starting with 07:00 EET ( 21:00 PDT/PST ) for 4 hours, we'll be updating WordPress to the latest version 5.5.3 on all production sites.
For the first 2 hours the EU cluster will be upgraded and starting at 09:00 EET ( 23:00 PDT/PST ) the US cluster will be upgraded.
During this time, the wp-admin area of the site can become inaccessible for a short period of time while the new version is applied. The public sites will not be affected and they will work normally. Cache invalidation will be briefly disabled during this time to prevent public sites outages. For any inquiries during this time don't hesitate to contact us at support@presslabs.com.
We recommend you to test this new version on your development instance, as they have already been upgraded to the latest WP version. If you find any problems before the maintenance, please drop us an email at support@presslabs.com containing the Subject: "WP 5.5.3 upgrade problems"
The new WordPress version is mainly a security and maintenance release.
